New guy here. Great site you have here. I've got a Tecumseh enduro 17.5. It will only stay running with the throttle in full choke. I bring it back to fast/rabbit and it runs good for about 3 seconds then starts to die. Put it back to full choke and it will keep running. Runs very rough and backfires. I should mention it is a 20 year motor on a murry mower. Has always ran good and strong.
Could it be the little solenoid on the carburetor

I also replaced the fuel filter and while I was at it cleaned the gas tank and new fuel lines. And took the carb off and cleaned it with carb cleaner. Put it all back on and ran the same.
