I'm mowing a couple of acres around my farm house in central Texas, and I'm considering a Cub Cadet 60" ztr
and a Hustler SD 60".
Opinions?
This looks like a great forum.

Hi and welcome!

First- always buy from a real dealer. The back up and knowledge they have is invaluable.

Second- go check out your local dealers and feel them out. Buying from them establishes a relationship. You want to feel safe that they have your back down the line- every mower will need service, no matter how good it is.

I'm biased towards Hustler. For one thing the Cub is an MTD. Ugh. Second, the RSD in 60" is a lot of mower for the money. Nice seat, plenty of engine, welded deck, engine guard, Kawi... And 0/48.

Thank you very much for your reply. I am planning to buy from one of my local dealers. I know firsthand how good relationships can be built like that. My closest dealer carries Hustler. I think that's where I'm headed.
Thanks again, and when I pick up the new machine, I'll post some pics.
