New belt

I bought a new belt after the old one snapped, now I can't get the new one on its the right belt, seems like I need two more inches to make it around the pulley coming from the engine.. I'm stumped.

Well we are in the dark completely here as we have no idea of what got in front of you. We need make, model, and serial number plus the part number of the replacement belt (if after market the OEM of the belt). OEM do change designs during a production run which is why we need the serial number.

I do know that Sunbelt (A&I) belts tends to be short which is why I longer sell them here. I fought with them for over three years and they never would correct the problems. And after market belt otherwise are crap shoot too.
