new and need advice-Hydroseeding

Hi there
Got a dog and then put the fence up. Was not really attentive to how little grass I had in that area. Rain has come and the dog is a muddy mess all the time. Askeda couple of friends and got the recommendation of hydro-seeding. Sprayed on, seed, fertilizer and straw all at once. Grass supposedly up in 10-14 days. Love to hear some opinions

I've seen a number of lawns hydro-seeded it works well, nice to have the cover mulch sprayed on evenly with the seed in it.

Myself I'm to cheap and usually seed the old fashion way, that being harrow up the soil to 1" depth seed re-harrow then spread a couple inches of clean grass clippings.

Either way you chose the two most important factors are:
1. Seed in the fall or spring
2. Keep the seeding moist during germination.
