I sold my Duraforce 10323 today. Got some cash and this great shape 1994 10301 V engine Silver Series in on trade. The guy wanted a more powerful engine. I'll go through this mower and give it a tune-up before putting it on the market. Just thought I'd share.

About the 10323 -- the last I heard, you wrote in another thread:

I've ordered a new needle & seat kit for it.

So... that did the trick?

It's neat the you dealt with another Lawn-Boy fan and were able give him a more powerful mower.

Speaking of more power, I'm hot on the trail of another Suzuki-powered Toro. I have one of those and have kept my eyes open for another. I spotted one on CraigsList last Monday (11/7), sent several emails, and finally got an answer today. :confused2:

Yeah that did the trick. I look, but no 2 cycle Toros surfaced in my area. I've heard parts can be high for them, and some had Tecumseh engines and others Suzuki. I don't think I'd buy one unless it had an aluminum deck.

The one I have has an aluminum deck but it's not a light mower. It's powerful and very well built. I don't see many come up for sale, so it's kind of a big deal when I do see one.

This is what elToro looks like with the bag, from the muffler side:

It looks heavy. Thank goodness it's self propelled. I'm not sure, but I'd say they haven't made the 2 stroke models for a long time so unless it has an aluminum deck, or been taken care of, I bet old man rusty has showed his face haha. Good luck getting the other Toro. I hope you're turning some profit in your mower endeavors instead of hoarding :)

 I have been hoarding.

Most of the mowers I seem to get don't look all that great which is a problem if I need to sell. I'm not spending much money on this hobby and I do use the mowers.

The Toro in particular is very handy because of its power. It falls between what I consider a regular lawn mower (classic 1977 LB 7266) and a very heavy (300+ pounds) brush mower. Last weekend I used it to clear an area that hadn't been mowed in months.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I was on the trail of another Suzuki-Toro. The deal worked out and I bought this 1983 mower for only $20.

It should at least be a good parts machine and maybe even a candidate for fixing up as a complete mower.

You mentioned in another thread that you were looking for a winter project. I'll bet somebody in your area is selling a pretty cool old mower [non-running  ] for not much money.
