Need to replace a Kohler M18

I have a Kohler M18 in a Woods (Grasshopper) model 2855. I would like to swap out the engine for one with more HP the 18hp Kohler seems to be a little low on power. I'd like to install a 22 or 24hp engine if possible. Does anybody know if this is reasonable or feasible? Any suggestions?
