Need to ID model year of Honda HRC216

I was wondering if anyone here could ID the model year of my old HRC216 SXA (2 speed gear drive). Serial number is MZAN-6003065. It looks identical to this one, but is gear drive.

I was also wondering if anyone knew what year Honda went to their new K3 deck design.

Maybe Robert can clear this one up?

This mower was probably built in 1989, maybe 1988. It was wholesaled by Honda to Columbia River Power Sports of St. Helens, OR, on 3/30/1990, and delivered to the first retail customer (Donald R. of Scapoose, OR) on 4/5/1990.

There are no open recalls, updates or active campaigns for this mower.

Don't have a date when the HRC216 went to K3, sorry.
