need part for old Craftsman Weed Wacker

I am in need of a new spool (the part that holds the line) for Craftsman Weed Wacker model # 257.799760 (electric). I've already checked with searspartsdirect, and it's not available any longer. Maybe someone out there has one they are willing to sell???? I think I can fashion a couple of doughnuts out of foam (after the spool is hand-wound, they go over the line at the top & bottom of the spool) - but maybe they might be available, too?? Hope someone out there is able to help me.

You may be out of luck. I ran the Sears part number at Ereplacementparts, and it came up as a Paramount/Weedeater spool that has been discontinued by the manufacturer. You may be able to match it at your local Home Cheapo, though. Good luck.
