Need mower help

I have a Ariens 1232 sport zoom zero turn and was mowing my yard with it and noticed the blade had stopped. I also noticed the PTO was still engaged. I shut off the PTO then turned the lawn mower off. I then tried to starting it back on and it wouldnt even try to start, like it thinks the PTO is still on. This is the model that has to have the brake locked to start and I made sure the brake is engage. I have also checked fuses and wire connections. I live where its hard to find good mower repair so I was hoping to fix it myself. I would greatly appreciate and advice that anyone has to offer. Thanks!

I go on road calls a lot and find PTO switches that fall . Ferris and cub cadet today . I swear by a shot of wf40 in all the switches to keep moisture out .

Thanks! I'll clean that switch out. I may even look into ordering a new one.

I would check the battery voltage. If your charging system has gone south, it will give all the symptoms which you describe.
