I have a Craftsman YT3000 Lawn Tractor, model 917.250220. The transaxle linkage broke while mowing and lost drive. I replaced the linkage but now hear grinding / gear noise without movement. Drive key and brake look ok, sounds like a problem inside transaxle box.
How do I get it apart to check and repair? Or any other ideas?
