I would like to replace the fuel line in my old Husky 32RL string trimmer, but I don’t know how to run it into the fuel tank. This trimmer has the tank located above the carburetor with no primer bulb. I can’t see a way to remove the tank, nor do I have a clue how to run a new line in.
I would be grateful for tips and tricks. Thanks.
On those units I find it easiest to remove the tank/shroud assembly then install the new fuel line. A trick I use to thread it into the tank is to have a long piece of fuel line, cut the end at a very sharp angle, push a generous length into the tank, grab with a hemostat or needle nose pliers, trim end square, install filter and pull out excess. After reinstalling the assembly, cut the fuel line to appropriate length.
