I found this mower in the trash got it running and driving, just not mowing! Can anyone help me in deciding what kind of belt it needs and, what size deck it is? On the side of the mower it says 12/38 which I know the 12 stands for the HP so I am assuming the 38" stands for the deck size. The deck that was on it says 42" on the shield of the deck. Is there anyway to measure what size belt I would need? The weird thing is all the holes and carter pins all line up as if it is a prefect fit. I wonder if they replaced the shield with a 42" shield and the deck is still a 38"!?!?!? Any help would be appreciated! I have attached some pictures too, to help you guys see what I am talking about.
