NEED HELP- Buying new mower tomorrow, and can't choose.

Ok here is my situation.

2.5 Acres, hills, rough terrain, several trees. Has a "woods" separating the lot. Pushed mowed it all last summer, had a used Honda 54" blow up on me. Purchasing a new one tomorrow. I am not handy at all, and don't like to spend my weekend mowing, so fast and dependable are really important.

Here is what I am down to.

Snapper SPX 46 Deck- 22 HP $1999- My buddy owns the appliance store selling. No pick up/ delevery on service

Husqvarna Fast Tractor 48 Deck- 24 Hp- 1899- From a local dealer. $40 pick up/ delivery on service

Ariens Lawn tractor 54-25 Hp- 2000 Local dealer, no service charge

Ariens Lawn Tractor 46-22-1699 Local dealer no service charge

Your imput would really help here.

any of those would be good choices but i would say either the Snapper or the Husqvarna where in Indiana are you im also in Indiana and have a really nice Cub Cadet for sale

IMHO, if you spend less than $2.5K-$3K for a high-end lawn tractor to mow "2.5 Acres, hills, rough terrain, several trees" you are setting youself up to "blow up" another light-duty machine that is just not up to the task. My personal reccomendation is the Husqvarna YT42XLS or YT48XLS($2,599-$2899) and other brands like Cub Cadet(GT series "at least") will also be pricier than what you listed(but they will hold up). See link below to look at the Huskies and compare them to the $1,899 Fast Tractor model you listed(you'll see a big difference like Kawasaki engine, locking differential hydro tranny, lifetime warrantied fabricated deck, etc). It's your money.....be certain the next mower is up to the workload!!
