A friend offered me his 13hp yardman for $60, it was a steal so I had to get it. he used it one summer, let it sit during the winter and, as usual, it didn't start the next year. It sat for two years total. I took the carb off and cleaned it and it ran but it wouldn't stop sputtering.
Since then here's what I've done to try to get it to run smoothly:
cleaned carb 3 times, using carb cleaner and compressed air
installed carb overhaul kit from Briggs and Stratton (new seals and needle valve)
flushed gas tank and put in new gas
used fuel treatment
replaced fuel line and filter
replaced spark plug
changed oil
cleaned air filter
despite all this my mower still runs like this: http://youtu.be/KLReZdNsGoM
What else can I do? I did notice that if I restrict air flow at full throttle it does run a little better, but not like it should.
Should I just sell it and let someone else deal with it? I would rather not as I have put this much time, energy and money into it...
Any advice would be great!
Thanks!
