MZ61 with kaw fr730v plug timer

I have an Husqvarna mz61 with a Kawasaki fr730v. I have replaced the entire fuel system and it has spark. It starts and runs for a minute or so at medium throttle then dies. Someone suggested it might be the ignition plug timer. I have one on order. Can anyone tell me what an ignition plug timer does? The mower behaves like it’s running out of gas its not. Also not the fuel solenoid.
