Just picked up this mower on Craigslist for $300 bucks. Is it worth it? Model when new is about $700-$800

Overall looks in great shape but I'm not happy with the cut quality. On tall grass mower leaves behind standing grass that pops back up. It came with side discharge attachment. I bought mulcher cap on ebay to replace side discharge shoot.

I am wondering what blade do I currently have and what blade is best for mulching? Looking for cleanest cut possible with mulching blade.

owners & parts manuals your mower, pages 10 & 11 in parts manual have two blades listed

Nice mower. You have the ninja mulching blade, I'd stick with that blade. The other mulching blade available, gator blade, isn't as effective. I have the ninja on one of my mowers and it also bags very well.

Looks good. I wouldn't pay 300$ for it new off the dealers floor.But then again I'm not a snapper fan. Hopefully you get many years service out of it.
