Hello,

I am new to this forum and generally have no idea about mowers. I have a Murray Self Propelled mower I purchased from Home Depot about 5 years ago.

It had carburetor issues in the past, and it had the carburetor bowl replaced about 1.5 years ago and cleaned out twice since then (both times do to putting in dirty gas - my brother... smh)

So a couple months back, the mower is not starting again, it rumbles but the engine wont turn over. I figure its the carb again so besides paying for someone to do it again, I decided to remove it myself and clean it and reinstall. I took a lot of photos so I knew exactly how to reinstall it and cleaned the carb based off youtube videos. Reinstalled it.

Now it won't start and it doesn't make that rumbling noise, like it use to when it was trying to start. Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

If you brought this into the shop and gave me that description I would be cleaning and rebuilding the carb. Sounds to me like when you put the carb back together you did not check the float height. When rebuilding I would replace the float needle and seat. If you post back with all the numbers off the engine, I can give you the part numbers you will needle and a procedure to follow.
