I have removed and drained both the hydrostatic oil and transmission gear oils. I have ordered hydrostatic oil which requires 39 oz. filled 1 1/4" -2" from the top. I need to know how much transmission oil, and is it 80/90 gear oil?
I also am looking for the 5" rubber tube that fits/plugs the hydrostatic oil port.
Thanx

I'm not sure if this manual covers your model trans... BUT check it out ... all I can find right now...
Thanks. I have looked at this manual previously. I do not find that it identifies or addresses my unit. And after searching the internet I cannot find the answers. I was able to get the hydrostatic info even though the unit is supposed to be non-serviceable. I am still trying to get the transmission fluid info.
I also have ordered the grommet for to replace the one I removed from the hydrostatic fluid hole. No one seems to have or offer the 5" ruuber tube that is inserted through the grommett. I'll reuse the old one.

What I can gleam from an old Tecumseh/Peerless update school manual is the LTH which I believe is what you have uses 8 ounces of 80w90 in the differential. But says the pump unit is nonserviceable.

Good news. After replacing the hydrostatic transmission fluid #730228A (1 1/4" - 2" from the top), and the gear oil (8oz. 80/90w) - the mower works. It took a couple of minutes to warm up, but I was again able to mow my acerage.
