I HAVE THIS MURRAY MOWER AND DONT NEED IT TO CUT GRASS WANT TO USE IT TO PULL PLUGGER AND PUSH SNOW . MY PROBLEM IS WIRING I HAVE IT HOOKED UP RED LINE FROM BATTERY TO SOLENOID AND A RED ONE FROM SOLENOID TO STARTER. I AM ONLY INTERESTED IN GETTING IT RUNNING WITH AS LESS WIRES AS POSSIBLE. MY NEXT MOVE WITH MOWER IS SALVAGE YARD CAN ANYONE HELP AND EXPLAIN WHAT I NEED TO FIX IT

To use the least wire, disconnect the mag kill wire at the engine, and sell all that copper wire including the red lines from batt to solenoid and solenoid to starter. If it has a 12V fuel solenoid valve on the bottom of the carburetor you can either snip the plunger off the valve or run a small wire from the battery to that solenoid wire.

To start it use jumper cables direct to the starter + lug and a ground. To kill the engine touch the disconnected mag kill wire to ground.

THANKS SENIOR CITIZEN FOR INPUT I DO HOWEVER WANT TO BE ABLE TO START WITH THE KEY SWITCHES SHOULD HAVE SAID WANTED TO GET RID OF ALL SAFTY SWITCHES AND HEAD LIGHT WIR HAS BEEN RIPPED OUT OR BROKEN ANYWAY THANK YOU SO MUCH

Your tractor will have some dual safety switches and some single switches. Those dual switches will have 4 wires to them and singles will have only 2. Actually there is only 2 wires and 1 wire being those switches function is to connect a broken wire so to speak.

The wires in the cranking circuit will need to be jumpered in the connection after it is un-plugged from the switch so current gets to the starter solenoid.
