My mower won't start so I cleaned out the gas tank and carborator . After putting it together again it started right up but it was running very fast. I don't think I have the linkage correct. Where can I get a photo or drawing of how the springs are attached. I searched the internet but couldn't find the info
I have a 22" Murray Type 2253 E1 code 97 2045

I'm glad you found the information you needed that no one else seemed to have.

Since the advent of our modern cameras I've found a good clear close up picture before disassembly can be invaluable. Before the handy digital camera a dab of paint of different colors on each spring end and linkage end where they connect usually made assembly a snap. Using both methods would probably save a bunch of time as you may have discovered.
