I can start it and it will run great. But after a while it will lose power. Sputter and die. Then it can't be restarted until it sits for about a half hour. I checked the air filter and it looks brand new. That's the extent of my knowledge of small engines. Any ideas?
Next time it dies, remove the spark plug, which will be hot, install in the spark plug boot, and hold the plug against the metal part of the engine, and have somebody crank the engine, and check for spark. If no spark replace the ignition module, which is the thing on the other end of the spark plug wire, under the housing on the top of the engine.
