I was cutting my grass and put it in neutral, when I put it back in gear it hesitated to drive forward or reverse. I looked under the seat/deck area and a spring broke off from somewhere. Does anyone know what this spring is called and where it would go back? I've been searching the internet for awhile now and can't even find a diagram. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

Look for the tag behind/under the seat, and post the model numbers.

Look at the springs here on the drive assy. and compare to your mower.

Looking at page B that Fish posted, item B21 is the tension spring for the deck lever.
Item B23 is the tension spring for the idler pulley that tightens up the belt to the transmission (B1).
On mine that spring is attached to the bottom of B62 (idler pulley) and the other end gets attached to the right side of frame.
Looks like its 90 degrees to the middle of the machine.
Hope this helps.
