I acquired a Mastercraft 137D673G515 garden tractor (made by MTD) that needs repair. It was sold by Canadian Tire in Canada and the MTD data base won't accept the serial number in order for me to download a manual for it. Does anyone have a valid MTD serial number I could use? Also, it needs a battery... would a "200 cranking amp/165 cold cranking amp" battery be adequate. The tractor has a 15.5 HP B&S engine with electric start. It's only accessory is the 42" deck. Thanks for any advice/help.

Yes a 200 amp battery would start that engine. As far as the mower, could you post some pictures from all angles, we may be able to come up with something.

Thank you very much for the information. I was able to get a manual from MTD Canada, but it was a poorly scanned version and not the exact one. MTD U.S. has no email address listed and their phone is "experiencing technical difficulties". I will try calling them again tomorrow and also post some photos later.
