I have an 8 hp MTD Chipper Shredder 244 648B000.
The weld bolts which hold the chute to the body sheared off. I use it quite a bit.
I've welded new bolts on, which required complete disassembly.
While the thing was apart, I flipped the flails and sharpened all 3 blades.
While testing in may garage, the chipper was vibrating a bit.
The shredder blade balanced perfectly, I didn't test the chipper blades.
While running a 1/2 throttle, I'd guess the chippr would do a 360 in a minutes time.
I've never run it in the garage, so I don't have anythng to compare.
Do you think the vibraton is excessive?
Thanks in advance
