mower starts fine but when you release the brake back fires and stalls

safety switch. one under seat, one for brake, one for blade engagement. To turn on blades manual lever or Electric switch? (yellow/red pull knob). If it starts and runs fine. then i would ck those. Should start and run and move with blades off. also may have reverse blades on lock out switch.
