mower won't start

I have a White L-13 lawn tractor model series 472. When I trun the key there is a click like a dead battery, however, I had the battery checked at the dealer and it is OK. looked for any loose connections on the system from the battery to the key, all seem to be in place. Mower was working with no problems until this past Saturday. When I tried to start it turned, there was a distinctive "clink" sound and now will not start. I am thinking maybe the solinoid?, or possibly starter. any thoughts before I call the dealer for service. thanks

Yes clean the solinoid connections, and make sure you have a good earth (ground) lead, if that doesn't work repleace the solinoid.
