I have an Ariens riding mower, 48 inch cut. I was using the mower to pick up leaves when it abruptly stopped. Initially, I thought the engine had seized, but after a few days, I was able to turn the engine over, but heard a grinding sound. I determined that my PTO clutch was shot. When I removed it from the mower, the ball bearings were missing and chewed up. I consulted a local small engine repair shop and was told it needed to be replaced. I know the engine runs as I was able to start it without the clutch. I installed the new clutch, but now the engine won't crank. I get one rotation of the engine and then it stops. What did I do wrong?

Wow that's odd...... I would take the belt off and try it again Or the PTO off ETC ETC..... That's my take on that ....
If it fires up without the PTO or belt off.... It' your old issue all over again ...... Xtreme is the best by far on those PTO's
