hi my name is abel i recently bought a poulan pro ridding mower i did a complete tune up on the mower it worked fine for the first week of use but now the mower will not start , and if it does start it only runs for 10 minutes and then dies. In have change the coil pack and the sinliod and it will still not run right. I would like if some body would give me some advice to fix the problem before i pour more money in to it . thank you:confused2:
One of the simplest things that's always mentioned is gas cap vent. Try running it without the cap in place?
Then go for air, try to run it briefly without the filter?
These are just my amateur guesses

I have been researching this the last week, I do small engine repair on the side, to get a few extra bucks and like doing it.
I found that it could be the coil. run the engine till ti dies, you need to have an in-line spark tester, connect the one end into the spark plug wire, the other end connects to the spark plug, crank the engine, if it doesn't get any spark, it is the magneto. As it get hot it won't work, then when it cools off it will start. My neighbor has the same problem, we did the basic gas cap vent, change to correct line line filter for gravity fed mowers, so I have narrowed it down to the magneto or carb rebuild, so were going to do the magneto/coil test frst, if it doesn't work, then carb rebuild.
