Mower runs, but with a frequent sputter.

Or miss, whatever you want to call it.
Got this hand me down mower that supposedly didn't run.
New oil, air filter and new gas and it ran, but with a little sputter.
After finding gas in the oil I tore it down and found it needed new rings.
Replaced rings, solved that issue.
It runs but still with that sputter,
I made a little video so you can hear it.

Check & smell dipstick, you still have gas in oil, carburetor is problem. Either purchase a rebuild kit for carburetor or new carburetor & change oil afterwards. Post engine make, all numbers from engine, Clean work space & carburetor should be spotless before rebuild.Youtube videos are available online. thanks, Mark

You replaced the rings to fix the fuel in the oil issue?

Sounds good to me, how does it run when mowing grass?

I heard nothing.
But with gas in the oil, carb issue, float needle and seat failed, replace them or whole carb.

No.
Ring end gap was 0.043

It is harder to hear in the video, but I can hear it.
The miss is still there even at higher RPM (runs the same when mowing).
