I just recently bought a Jacobson/Homelite super bagger (sb21p4e) a great little mower and can't figure out how they control forward travel speed. when i got it it was full speed or neutral.
but looking at the drawing breakdown it's an oil bath transmission. i need to know what weight oil goes in it. i think the adjustment controls the clearance
on the clutch and the output shaft but i don'tknow. can't see any other way,no gear change or pulley change.can't get any info from jacobson or homelite.
so i thought that I'd come to you guys for some help. any info would appreciated. thanks

Ok I was not going to comment on this but have changed my mind.
They are one speed and only one speed. It is on or off just like all self propelled mowers until just recently.
