I have a lawn boy 4262 that is surging I,m not sure I have the air vane set properly and where the spring attaches.

I have not been able to locate a service manual to look at how it should be indexed and connected.

Any insight would be helpful.

Here is a picture of the spring connection. One end connects to the lever and the other end connects to the collar thru the square hole.
