missing spring

Hello all I hope someone can identify this spring that is missing on my 2007 troy bilt zero turn mustang RZT 50 model 17AF2ACP766. the spring is located on the side of the hydro transmission near what looks like a gear.

one picture has the spring and the other side is missing the spring

I'm guessing that's the parking brake.
