I HAVE A SCAG TURF TIGER 61IN WITH A KAWASAKI 27HP. THE MOWER KEEPS SPUTTERING AND IT DOES BACKFIRE.
I CHECKED THE PLUGS AND THEY WERE NOT FOULED. COULD THE COIL BE THE PROBLEM, AND IS THERE ANY WAY TO CHECK THIS.
ITS NOT THE BLADE PTO, I UNPLUGED THAT. WOULD SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE PLEASE. THANKS.

Sounds like carb issue or valves need adjusted.

Could also be a little water in your fuel. How's the air filter look?
