Hi,
I have a mcculoch leaf blower gbv 325.
It wont start.
The unusual thing is it has a spark and when I take the muffler of it fires.. doesn't run but repeatedly fires and sends smoke out.
Yet when I put the muffler back on nothing.. no firing.. nothing.
I am assuming this is due to not getting enough air... so when the muffler is on it just doesn't get enough air...
Can anyone help...

Do a compression test with a tester for small engines. IF the compress is 100 psi or lower just trash the blower.

The compression is fine. Or it wouldn't fire with muffler off.
The only thing I can think of is it's getting air when then the muffler is removed to get combustion
.. yet with muffler on it's getting no air. Blocked air in carb??
