Hi Guys:
I need your help with info about a Max Zoom 60 with Kawasaki 26HP. We are wanting to buy this from the owner of a house we are buying. I know this ZTR is now made with a Kohler. I don't have the serial number because we have not closed on the house, but this mower looks new and in great shape.
What years was this mower made?
What is the average value for a used one in good shape? I see a new onr with a Kohler is 4900.00
Why did Ariens switch engines? I assume it was a cost thing, but not sure.
Is this a good mower, or should I look at other mowers to buy. the property is 4 acres, but much of it is wooded.
I am looking forward to all the help and knowledge you guys will give.
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.

Im sure experts will chime in but this is what I found. Reviews from 2010 to 2012. Value would be from $2000 to $2500.

Thanks BlazNT. I was thinking half of new, but not sure
Anyone else have an opinion as to the value of this mower? I found out they made the Kawasaki version of the Max 60 from 2009 to 2011, so the mower is fairly new.

I found a mower like yours yesterday on CL for $3500 so you can ask what you want.

thanks... that is more than I want to pay. I'll buy new if they want that much.

I agree. I have been looking for a second ZTR all summer and can buy most of them for close to the same price as new and they are 5 years old or older.

we finally heard from the seller. They want 3500.00. they paid 5000.00 in 2012. It is a 2011 model with 69 hours on it. It does look like it's in great shape. I will get a chance to drive it next Monday. What do you guys think about that price?

two other items I just noticed. This has the ZT-3100 transaxles and a welded 10 ga. deck, the same as a Gravely ZT HD 60. I think that is a good thing, isn't it?

If that is his starting price the try for $250 lower. I don't think you will be hurt with the price. Bonus is you will have a ZTR mower.
