Hello,
I am new here and am doing service to my Simplicity Broadmoor Mower. Any help would be appreciated.
Is it necessary to remove PTO on shaft to replace main drive belt. I do not have a big enough wrench to put on PTO to take off. Is there another way to keep shaft from turning to remove bolt. Thanks ahead of time.
I have an 09 Conquest and a 16 Broadmoor, have replaced main drive belt on both, Take out the 4 engine mounting bolts and slide engine back an inch or so. Will allow you to take belt off/on clearing the belt guides. Note one engine bolt is longer than the others, put it back where it went. May want to consult a manual and torque them in. Often times it can be a real bitch to get that engine pulley/clutch off. I note the real mechanics on you tube drain fluids and tip the tractors on their sides to do this kind of work. I put mine up on jack stands.
