My LX 280 with 850 hours on it has started to leak a lot of hydro fluid; seems to me coming out from the top of the rear axle by the fan. I mean a lot. If I fill it by morning it has leaked most of it out. Toast? it is beyond my mechanical ability.

Post the units model number so we can see exactly which tranny you have. Located on the frame, behind the left rear wheel.

Thanks for the reply. On the left side it only had a bunch of patent numbers. On the right side, had I thinkTuff TORQ K62A. It also had a JD part number and a serial number.

if you can’t find the units numbers it is probably beyond your abilities to repair a tranny. you need to locate where the fluid is coming out, then we might be able to help you more.
