Hello. This is my first post here. I am hoping to find a solution for my leaking LX-188 John Deere lawn tractor. I recently went to fire up the LX -188 after a long winter only to find that I had gas leaking out of the fuel pump. I saw that the gas was leaking out of the vent tube on the bottom of the fuel pump directly over the muffler...(Good design!). I proceeded to replace the fuel pump (a new one) and fired it up again only to notice that the fuel was now leaking out of the carburetor vent tube. A colleague suggested that perhaps I had crossed the fuel lines when I replaced the fuel pump. I doubted it but tried anyway...No go, because I swapped the lines and the tractor would not even start. I replaced the lines to the original routing and once again I have the tractor starting up but there's a steady stream of fuel directly spilling on the muffler...!...Any ideas...?
