Hi Everyone,
In the quest to get my Grandfather's Series 7 33" RER going, I've hit another snag. The mower just doesn't go very fast. Even in 5th gear it struggles to move up a slight incline w/the blade engaged. Even with the blade off it's not much faster.
The mower was sitting for a bit (a portion outside covered), but the engine (a Kohler CV14ST) runs very smooth and sounds great. My grandfather had taken very good care of it.
Any suggestions on where to start? I did a forum a search, but not sure which direction to head. Is this typically an indication of a disc problem, or something causing the engine to not develop full power?
Thanks for the ideas.
