Low power

I have a 2010 LTX1050. THe last time I mowed, I noticed that reverse seemed a bit slower than normal, then after about 3 hours of mowing it was very slow going up a hill. The engine is running fine with plenty of power but it does not seem to be getting to the wheels. I checked the drive belt and tensioner which seem to be fine. Any ideas on what the problem is here?

Thank you,
Russ

Hello,

If your machine is a hydrostatic it will be this giving you the problem, check for a obvious leak on gearbox.
Basically its losing pressure to power the gearbox.

No leaks, but the oil is burnt. How do I drain the oil and what type of oil does this take?

Can you tell me please what model machine you have?

It is a LTX1050. I was able to pump the oil out and I found that it takes 20-50 oil.

Did the oil change take care of the problem?

My GT2550 slowly looses reverse every few years and I have to replace the nylon bushings that support the forward and reverse peddles.
