looking to purchase first commercial walk behind?

i am 16 going to be 17 in a couple months. but anyways next spring i will be looking to purchase my first commercial mower (walk behind). i will also need to get a small pick up truck, maybe something like a ford ranger. i do not think i will get a trailor, just dont have the room or space. but mower wise right now all i have is a 21" toro home owner mower. recently i been looking at the snapper pro sw5 (32" deck) for next spring. if you have experience or know much about this mower i'll be glad to hear your reviews on it.

Loading and unloading.a machine of that size and weight into a truck especially a small truck is going to be more of a pain then its worth. You might be better off with something like the toro time master or turf master.30" cut light weight ish will be easier to load with ramps of if you have a strong back by hand. Something to consider.

thanks for the response. well actually i did look into the toro commercial 30" walk behind but i read a lot of reviews on it on the toro website and heard a lot of negatives comments about it. and some that turned me away from it is that people said it does really bad on hills and right now all lawns i do are on hills so that kind of turns me away from that mower.

I own a landscape company and have always used my Ford Ranger with a ramp to load and unload my mower wich is rather heavy and commercial. A trailer is a pain if you dont have a spot to store it. I dont think your dad will lend you the garage for the whole summer:p

As for buying a Ford Ranger, PM me, I own one and know pretty much everything on these trucks from almost all the years so dont hesitate contacting me! I also have an awsome ramp that can handle a lot of weigh! Shoot me a pm!

As for mowers, check out YBravo, Ex-Mark and Toro. All very good companies. It all boils down to which dealer is the closest and has the best support for his products.

This is good but I bet you load 21" mowers he is talking about 36"+ mowers ya it is.possible but a Pita

Yea, I load 21" mowers. But the brackets I use can each handle 750 lbs. They are bolted to each a 2x4 braced together at a distance of 21". I should take some pictures of it all when I have the time.
