Looking for used parts for a John Deere LT166

I would like to stumble upon the John Deere graveyard of mowers. My son managed to run into a tree with my LT166 and destroy the fiberglass hood and attachment points. I would dearly love to find a non working mower of the same type that could be purchased at a reasonable cost so that I could replace the engine cover that is currently being held on by a couple of bungee cords...

Maybe take a trip to a flea market and ask around. I bet someone knows somebody who has what you want.

Check your local dealers. Many times we scrap out units but save certain parts for resale and forget we have them.
