Anyone out there have some working knowledge of the Ferris IS2500 Diesel Mower....???

Although I only cut 3.5 acres, I have been doing so with a Kubota L2900 (Diesel) & Landpride 72" groomer for the last 18 years. This unit has served me well, but it's time to move on.

I was seriously thing Ferris IS2000Z (Gas), then I spotted the IS2500Z (Diesel). I'm thinking this unit may serve me better. Any knowledge out there....???

Not too many responses. I know that both mowers Ferris and Kubota build a very nice machine. If you have had good luck with the Kubota why not stick to them. I never had any problems with anything I bought or used with that name on it.

Hi Jim....true enough Kubota has been good to us. I looked at the Kubota ZG326 very seriously, but we need serious suspension. A nice seat just won't do. My 3 (plus) acre yard is indeed very rough.

That's why I'm seriously thinking Ferris.

Decisions.... Decisions....Decisions....

(How's the weather in Elm Grove..? Here in Cajun Country, the yard has been too wet to cut for the last two weeks, and is threatening to rain again. It's starting to look really bad.....

Sounds like you made up your mind already. I would go to the Ferris dealer and try a test ride. If it's what you expect then your problems are solved. Good luck with whatever you choose.
