Hi I am just wondering if someone can give me some guidance...

I have a Lombardini Diesel 6ld360/v engine and it's charging the battery at approx 14.6 on idle and all the way up to 16volts at flat out rpm. Is this safe? The battery is brand new today.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
