LOCATION OF JD MODEL ON TILLER?

I just acquired a JD front tine 24-inch wide tiller with a B&S 1987 5HP flathead engine. It looks like everything is mechanically sound so I intend to restore and flip it. I've got the B&S numbers off the engine shroud but have no idea where to look for the JD model and serial number, which I assume at it's age are probably stamped into the chassis somewhere. Any help?

What makes you think this is a JD tiller?

MTD or AYP made most of the tiller chassis as I recall. JD only made larger ones for AG tractor use.
