Little help on self propelled mower please!

MTD-12BV829Q755 Mower with Honda engine,Replsced control cable and new belt,wheels turn when i pick up rear of mower,doesnt move at all when set back down.Did check for stripped gears ,not sure what to do now.Anybody?

Still could use lil help on this if anyones got ideas,dont know what else to try!Thanks

when you say you checked for stripped gears, where did you check? did you check the trans gears and bearing or did you check the wheel gears? i would take one wheel side completely off and check that all parts look good, then the other side as well. if all look good i would think the trans has bad gears/bearing play. always eliminate the simple/cheap things first.
