Little Briggs Help please!

Ok gents,give me some hints cause i,m lost.Briggs 6 hp engine on log splitter#12Q802-0120-D1-02100856,Started with intermentent spark very weak,I removed kill switch wire from engine ,no go,removed flywheel to check ket ,looked fine but replaced anyway,cleaned magnets and replaced using busness card as distance between coil and flywheel.Tried again,no go,replaced coil with brand new one ,started right up but carb [has no adjustmenta at all on it]was spitting gas back thru filter so i shut it down to remove and clean bowl and fuel bowl nut replaced bowl and now no spark at all again.Flywheel key fine,,no kill switch on engine and when i pull rope gas still sprays a bit thru carb.Figure i shoula went bit further in carb checking seat andneedle which i,ll do but spark thing got me cussin a bit,Any ideas?

Sounds like the intake valves need adjustment. This would cause the spitting. I would double check you armature air gap. It should be .010". Sometimes business cards are too thick or the armature moved. Let me know what you find.

Ok,Checked gap this morning and reset with feeler guage [if it was off i couldent tell]but results the same,no spark,put old coil back on just to see and same thing.Will do the valve after i can get some fire back to this thing ,Kepps ideas commin,Thanks

Remove the kill wire from the coil and see if you have spark. It may be shorted. If you have no spark with the kill wire off and air gap set properly you got a bad coil.
