lesco mower wont shut off

OK I have a Mexico 52 hydro walk behind. Runs great but won't shut off. No safety features are working either. The ground is connected to the coil and I have tried grounding that wire to no success. I have never seen a coil go bad and not ground out but it could be the first. The ground checks out all the way back to the key switch. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, dave

Your kill wire from the coil must have a break in it. When you ground out that small tab on the coil, it stops the coil from producing spark.
