While mowing, I heard a twing sound. Then it shut off. I tried to start it and it was freewheeling- just spinning, no combustion. After research I checked the recoil, it's fine. So I took out the spark plug to check that and now it wont pull at all. I can't turn the blade, so now I have a pile of parts that I cleaned but not sure what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not ready to throw in the towel- love my Lawn Boy !

Sounds like the connecting rod checked out. It will be jammed up if it broke in the middle and the wrist pin allowed the upper end of the rod to pivot and jam against the lower half. It happens from time to time and the usual sound is a ping to a loud bang then it dead. Split the case and take a look at what's happened.
