I have an older lawnboy and it has been working great for about 7 weeks. The last 2 weeks it has started to stall while cutting. Sometimes if mess with the throttle it will come back on. Other times it will not. Could this be an air filter or carb issue?
Thanks

Carb issue, remove, clean thoroughly, and install. Should solve problem.

Does it have a vane or white blade looking thing pointed up right. If so see if it moves. It should move back to the place it started from with some spring tension. If the spring is worn there might not be enough tension to open the throttle when the motor is loaded. Bascially what it does is take wind created from the flywheel will open and close throttle. When the air flow slows the throttle will open up. There is dial that you turn to the right(tighten) a click at a time to put more tension in the spring.

Chances are you have a plug in your main jet. I would take air filter out and inspect, then remove carb. Take float bowl off and unscrew main. Take a small wire and clean out all the tiny holes. Now if your carb is different from the one shown here might have to do some investigating.

Yea that's the carberator I have. I noticed that spring wasn't wound around the bottom of the "white blade" at the top. But I didn't see anything to manually turn it. It kinda looks like I just have to rewind it myself?

Done some research found this spring actually goes up into the vane. So mine must be totally shot. If I can get this fixed. What are the chances this was my solution

Ok. Replaced air vane spring. But now it doesn't want to start. Anything with in the carb I may have knocked loose that would cause it to not start
